The North CenĀtral ReĀgionĀal Health AuĀthorĀiĀty, NCRHA, has reĀjectĀed claims made by the Trinidad and ToĀbaĀgo RegĀisĀtered NursĀes AsĀsoĀciĀaĀtion, TTRĀNA, sugĀgestĀing worsĀenĀing paĀtient outĀcomes withĀin the reĀgionĀal health auĀthorĀiĀty.
In a meĀdia reĀlease isĀsued toĀday, the NCRHA said onĀgoĀing imĀproveĀments in paĀtient flow and serĀvice deĀlivĀery showed meaĀsurĀable progress across the reĀgion deĀspite longĀstandĀing fiĀnanĀcial and opĀerĀaĀtional chalĀlenges inĀherĀitĀed from the preĀviĀous adĀminĀisĀtraĀtion.
The AuĀthorĀiĀty said morĀbidĀiĀty and morĀtalĀiĀty figĀures imĀproved from 275 deaths recordĀed in JanĀuĀary 2026 to 206 deaths recordĀed in April 2026.
