The North CenĀtral ReĀgionĀal Health AuĀthorĀiĀty has reĀportĀed maĀjor fiĀnanĀcial and opĀerĀaĀtional imĀproveĀments withĀin eight months, folĀlowĀing what it deĀscribed as years of misĀmanĀageĀment and weak overĀsight.
In a reĀport subĀmitĀted to Prime MinĀisĀter KamĀla PerĀsad-BissesĀsar, ChairĀman Tim Gopeesingh said the AuĀthorĀiĀty inĀherĀitĀed over $350 milĀlion in debt, alongĀside irĀregĀuĀlar spendĀing, proĀcureĀment breachĀes and sysĀtemic govĀerĀnance failĀures.
He said corĀrecĀtive meaĀsures foĀcused on tightĀenĀing fiĀnanĀcial conĀtrols, reĀstrucĀturĀing manĀageĀment and staĀbilĀisĀing healthĀcare deĀlivĀery.
