The Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government (RDLG) has activated a comprehensive national response to Adverse Weather Alert #2 – Yellow Level, which remains in effect from 6:00 PM on Saturday, May 17, to 6:00 PM on Monday, May 19, 2025.
The alert was issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall and the associated risks.
Over the past 24 hours, several regions across Trinidad have experienced localized flooding, including areas under the Diego Martin Borough Corporation, Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation, San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation, Sangre Grande Regional Corporation, Chaguanas Borough Corporation, Princes Town Regional Corporation, and Penal/Debe Regional Corporation.
