Officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service seized cannabis valued at over TT $6.3 million during an intelligence-led operation in Gasparillo on Saturday.
Police said officers received information that a shipment of narcotics had been imported from South America and was being stored at a location in Gasparillo. Further intelligence identified two premises within the Reform Phase 4 Residential Development.
Surveillance was conducted at both locations and coordination was established with the Southern Division Task Force. Officers later executed search warrants at two apartment buildings within the development.
