A 27-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man from Point Fortin were arrested during a sting operation led by the police Anti-Extortion unit on Friday.
Both were held after a $10,000 fee was demanded from a victim.
According to a release from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the ‘Operation Strike Point’ carried out by police on Friday after the fee was demanded from a victim, who was told that if it was not paid, their vehicle would be burnt.
