A Tobago doubles vendor was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning after masked intruders stormed her Plymouth Road home and business place.
Police said the victim, the owner of S.S. Doubles Empire , was preparing food with two employees around 2a.m. when four masked men, two armed with rifles and another with a cutlass, forced their way into her kitchen.
The assailants ordered her and an employee upstairs to her living quarters. Fearing for their lives, Mungroo handed over $21,600 and US $100. The criminals also ransacked two bedrooms, making off with a DVR unit of unknown value and a Samsung A30 cellphone.
