Energy multinational Shell’s Aphrodite offshore project is not stalled, and the date for first gas still stands.

This according to chairman of the National Gas Company (NGC) Gerald Ramdeen and Shell yesterday.

“At the appropriate time and having regard to our non-disclosure obligations, these details will be shared on the mutually approved platforms. In the interim, we wish to confirm that the date for first gas from the Aphrodite project remains, and the parties remain resolute in keeping this date,” Ramdeen said in a phone interview.
