The Venezue­lan Na­tion­al As­sem­bly (Par­lia­ment) is dis­cussing a mo­tion to de­clare Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar per­sona non gra­ta in ac­cor­dance with Ar­ti­cle 111.

Re­ports from Venezuela to­day said a no­tice post­ed on the Na­tion­al As­sem­bly’s web­site in­di­cat­ed that the dis­cus­sion will be­gin at 2.30 pm Venezue­lan time.

The same agen­da in­cludes the sec­ond read­ing of the “Com­man­dos Bill for the In­te­gral De­fence of Venezuela,” a sweep­ing na­tion­al se­cu­ri­ty law that would em­pow­er spe­cial mil­i­tary units amid ris­ing re­gion­al ten­sions.
