THE first Hindu temple of its kind in Tobago may open its doors by the end of this year, according to president of the Tobago Hindu Society (THS), Pulwaty Beepath.
Speaking at an Indian Arrival Day celebration at Lowlands Mall in Tobago on Saturday, Beepath said: “Our temple is presently under construction and we want to acknowledge the tremendous support we have received from the Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), the Honourable Farley Chavez Augustine, the URP workers, the National Commission for Self Help and all our dedicated sponsors who have assisted in donating materials and cash in the construction of our Hindu temple.”
“We are looking at the end of the year for completion of this temple,” she added.
