President of the Barbados Road Tennis Association Frederick Blunt says the standard of play in the ongoing Barbados Road Tennis Open reflects the continued improvement of the sport.
The tournament, which carries a $20 000 top prize, has reached the round-of-16 stage of the men’s competition.
“So far the competition has been going very well. At the beginning we had a couple of hiccups, but we got those things sorted and everything is on stream. What is very heartening is the improvement of our young players and how they have been progressing throughout the rounds,” he said.
