THE San Fernando Waterfront will soon get nearly 300 new housing units, as a contractor has received the title for its development as part of the city's ongoing redevelopment efforts.
So said San Fernando West Member of Parliament Faris Al-Rawi, who yesterday confirmed contractor Hafeez Karamath will carry out the construction of the units at an estimated cost of $300 million at the site of the demolished former Public Transport Service Corporation (PTSC) bus yard along Lady Hailes Avenue.
Construction is expected to be completed in at least 18 months, he said.
