A 26-year-old man was found dead in bushes near his home in New Grant, Princes Town, on Monday after relatives raised concern about his condition.
David Ramlakhan, of School Trace, was discovered by police around 5.25 pm after a relative contacted the Princes Town Police Station reporting that he appeared to be in physical distress. Officers were led about 200 feet off the roadway to an overgrown area where he was found lying motionless with scratches to his face and lower abdomen.
A District Medical Officer later pronounced him dead at the scene. His body was removed pending a post-mortem at the Forensic Science Centre.
