The mem­bers of the State of Emer­gency (SoE) Re­view Tri­bunal are de­fend­ing them­selves against claims that they have not been per­form­ing their du­ties as re­quired and have fall­en asleep on the job.

In­stead, the Tri­bunal said it met six times to hear ap­pli­ca­tions and sub­mit­ted re­ports to the Home­land Se­cu­ri­ty Min­is­ter.

In an un­signed two-page state­ment yes­ter­day, the Re­view Tri­bunal for De­tained Per­sons ex­pressed its up­set fol­low­ing re­cent re­ports in the dai­ly press re­lat­ing to their per­for­mance func­tions.
