Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mur­der of 42-year-old Lyn­don Gib­son, who was gunned down in San­ta Cruz on Thurs­day night.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice, of­fi­cers from the San­ta Cruz Po­lice Sta­tion re­ceived a re­port of a shoot­ing at Lynch Av­enue, off Pi­p­i­ol Road, around 10.05 pm. When they ar­rived at the scene ten min­utes lat­er, they were told that loud ex­plo­sions had been heard in the road­way.

Gib­son was found ly­ing in the road with mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds. He was tak­en to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex, Mt Hope, in a pri­vate ve­hi­cle, where he was pro­nounced dead at 10.35 pm.
