Trinidad and Tobago film producer Jolene Mendes has won a Grammy Award. The St Ann’s native produced the music video for US rapper Doechii’s hit song Anxiety, which won Best Music Video.
In her acceptance speech on Sunday, she said while the video’s director, James Mackel, and Doechii could not attend, working with so many talented people makes her job “the best in the world.”
“They’re both once in a lifetime talents.”
Maintaining a strong Trini accent, she added, “This, of course, could not have been done without the 200 people that worked on it, so thank you all.”
