The Assembly of Caribbean People (ACP) led by regional executive and Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) leader David Abdulah on Friday held a protest at the front of the US Embassy in Port of Spain Trinidad and Tobago, denouncing its military build up in the Caribbean sea and lethal boat strikes that has thus far killed at least 27.
Speaking to members of the media and observers, Abdulah also called for Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar to revoke her previous statements that US forces should ‘kill all drug traffickers violently.”
The protest comes in the aftermath of concern that two Trinidadian men were among six killed in the US’ most recently confirmed strike on an alleged drug carrying vessel coming out of Venezuela on Monday.
