There al­most wasn’t a de­c­la­ra­tion from the re­cent tenth sum­mit of the Com­mu­ni­ty of Latin Amer­i­ca and Caribbean States (CELAC), as there was a lot of di­vi­sion and Trinidad and To­ba­go and sev­er­al oth­er coun­tries dis­as­so­ci­at­ed them­selves from cer­tain as­pects of the de­c­la­ra­tion, ac­cord­ing to Bar­ba­dos Am­bas­sador to Cari­com, David Comis­siong.

And maybe the di­vi­sion can be at­trib­uted to the com­ing of the Don­ald Trump US pres­i­den­cy, Comis­siong added on CBC Bar­ba­dos’ Mornin’ Bar­ba­dos show last week.
