(Kaieteur News) – Member of Parliament (MP) Andre Lewis, representing the We Invest in Nationhood (WIN) party, has officially tendered his resignation from the National Assembly following allegations made against him and an ongoing investigation.
In a formal letter addressed to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Manzoor Nadir, MP, and dated October 2, 2026, Lewis confirmed that his resignation takes immediate effect upon the receipt of his correspondence at parliament building.
Lewis stated that his decision was made in light of the allegations and the active inquiry currently underway.
