THE Assembly of Central Legal Practitioners (ACLP) is calling for an immediate investigation into concerns surrounding the administration of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), warning that the matter could undermine public confidence in the regional court if it is not addressed quickly and thoroughly.

ACLP chairman Kiel Taklalsingh made the call after reading a communication among CCJ judges reported in the Sunday Express, which he said raised serious concerns about the administration of the court and possible attempts to influence judicial decisions.

Taklalsingh said he was left with “a sense of foreboding concern” after reading the communication, which he said appeared to raise questions about the manner in which the court was being administered.
