Retired Appeal Court judge and former Senate president Timothy Hamel-Smith has backed a judicial enquiry into the processes of the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ), saying such an exercise would be critical to maintaining public confidence in the regional court.
Speaking on TV6’s Morning Edition last week, Hamel-Smith also advised against politicians “getting in the fray”, although Caribbean heads of government could be invited to establish a panel of enquiry.
