As police-involved killings continue to rise this year, Acting Commissioner Junior Benjamin maintains that these fatal incidents are the result of decisive and aggressive policing, and not excessive force.
The statement was made against the backdrop of 37 police-involved deaths for the year so far, involving officers on and off duty.
That number came from 29 shooting incidents.
