(Kaieteur News) – A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) on Friday called for President Irfaan Ali to resign and make way for a forensic audit into the acquisition of his 150-acre ranch located at Long Creek, Soesdyke-Linden Highway.
Attorney and Member of Parliament (MP), Dr. Dexter Todd said the party condemns the glaring double standard that has become the hallmark of the People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) government under President Ali.
He highlighted that while there are thousands of hardworking citizens, especially public servants, who continue to struggle with inadequate wages and salaries while the head-of-state is at the center of a serious sting of allegations surrounding extensive farming operations at Long Creek. The questions, he said, require answers not a political spun.
