Prime MinÂisÂter KamÂla PerÂsad-BissesÂsar was forced to work from home on what would have been her first ofÂfiÂcial day in ofÂfice yesÂterÂday, due to what MinÂisÂter in the OfÂfice of the Prime MinÂisÂter BarÂry Padarath says is the âdysÂfuncÂtionÂalâ and unÂfit state of WhiteÂhall in Port-of-Spain.
SpeakÂing with Guardian MeÂdia outÂside WhiteÂhall yesÂterÂday, Padarath exÂpressed conÂcern over the physÂiÂcal conÂdiÂtions of the buildÂing.
âThis faÂcilÂiÂty is not a funcÂtionÂal faÂcilÂiÂty. There are chalÂlenges here. The perÂmaÂnent secÂreÂtary just shared with us that there are parts of the buildÂing that canÂnot be used beÂcause there is a lot of floodÂing, there are health isÂsues with reÂspect to mould,â Padarath said.
