Lawyers representing the widow of late broadcaster Dervan Malcolm have threatened legal action against blogger Milton Wray, otherwise known as â119â, over alleged false and defamatory remarks he made about her on social media in connection with the death of her husband.
The legal team of Patrice Hussey Malcolm says the remarks, published on platforms such as TikTok and Youtube, have caused âsignificant distress, embarrassment, humiliation and reputational injuryâ to its client.
âYour statements were not merely criticism or commentary. They constituted a sustained and deliberate campaign of public vilification, harassment, intimidation, bullying and degradation directed at our client,â wrote senior counsel Anthony Williams, managing partner of USIM, Williams and Company Attorneys-At âLaw, in a letter to Wray and shared with Observer Online.
