“Run, run,” were the fran­tic words of Ik­isha “Free­da” Wild­man to her nine-year-old son be­fore she was stabbed to death in her home on Mon­day night.

In­stead, the boy re­mained in the Mara­bel­la house as his moth­er was stabbed in her chest and ab­domen. While he was not harmed phys­i­cal­ly, rel­a­tives said he has been left se­vere­ly trau­ma­tised.

Rel­a­tives be­lieve the 43-year-old woman’s mur­der is linked to her broth­er, At­i­ba’s killing in May 2022, and three ar­son at­tacks which de­stroyed two of their rel­a­tives’ homes and a ve­hi­cle.
