(Kaieteur News) – For decades, Guyana’s Indigenous people have been asked to wait. Wait for proper roads. Wait for reliable healthcare. Wait for quality education. Wait for safe transportation. Wait for the development that successive governments promised but rarely delivered.
Today, after the horrific sinking of the MV Barima, that wait has become a death sentence for dozens of families.
