THE Ifa Orisha Council of Trinidad and Tobago has launched a petition calling for a public holiday in the first week of June, saying followers deserve the same national recognition granted to other religious groups.

Speaking to the Express in a phone interview, Alexander said he hopes the petition gains the attention of Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and Culture Minister Michelle Benjamin.
