Former Miss World Trinidad and Tobago Ache Abrahams has described her reign as a tumultuous experience that left lasting scars.

In an 18-minute YouTube video she posted yesterday titled “How Pageantry Ruined My Life,” she alleged that she endured verbal abuse, body shaming, and significant mental health challenges while under the direction of the local franchise.

Abrahams said, behind the glamour of the crown, she was constantly criticised, belittled, and gaslit.
