Decomposing body of woman found near school

The decomposed body of an unidentified woman was found in bushes along the banks of the Guaracara River in Gasparillo on Wednesday afternoon.

Police said the discovery was made around 5 p.m. by a man who was cutting grass for his animals near the VOS Government Primary School Recreation Ground, along Charles Street South.

The man detected a foul smell coming from the bushes and went to investigate. He then discovered a woman’s body and contacted the Gasparillo Police Station around 5.35 p.m.
