Six hundred and twenty-five Priority Bus Route letter permits will expire today, but Cabinet has approved 100 new maxi-taxi Priority Bus Route permits, says Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Eli Zakour.

He was speaking yesterday during the second reading of the Finance (Supplementary Appropriation) (Financial Year 2025) Bill, 2025 in the Senate .

The decision to recall the letter permits was first announced by Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar during a post-Cabinet news Conference on May 22.
