Footage of a fight which took place on Maracas Beach on Saturday can only be used to charge the persons involved for “fighting in a public place”.
So said head of the North Eastern Police Division, Senior Supt Claire Guy-Alleyne, who was responding to views expressed on social media that the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service should use the video to bring justice to the man who was beaten.
In a phone interview with the Express yesterday, Guy-Alleyne said in order for the man being beaten in the video to get justice, he has to come forward and make an official report at a police station.
