For his world-title-winning men’s javelin throw at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, in September, athlete Keshorn Walcott has been named the Express Individual of the Year for 2025.

It is his second claim on this title after receiving the award for his London 2012 Olympics men’s javelin gold medal.

“As always, I am grateful for the recognition,” the Toco-born athlete said yesterday. “I would just like to say thank you to the Trinidad Express for recognising me and my 2025 season. It’s always good to have your hard work and all your efforts that you put in being recognised.”
