Police are investigating the death of a 56-year-old St James woman who was found unresponsive on a pavement early Sunday morning, shortly after a man walked into the St James Police Station and admitted involvement in an altercation with her.
The deceased has been identified as Nicole Ovid, of Romeo Street, St James.
According to police, around 5:15 a.m. first responders PC Mohammed and PC Belfour were taking a report from a 54-year-old ward attendant who said Ovid had been involved in a physical altercation with a man known to her.
