PresĀiĀdent IrĀfaan Ali says the openĀing of the new mulĀti-milĀlion DiĀaĀmond ReĀgionĀal HosĀpiĀtal, will proĀvide health care serĀvices for more than 40,000 peoĀple along the East Bank corĀriĀdor.
āThis is an inĀvestĀment that will enĀsure our women, chilĀdren, elĀderĀly and all alike have a levĀel of treatĀment that is not based on inĀcome (or) staĀtus. That is what this inĀvestĀment is doĀing: (proĀvidĀing) qualĀiĀty, efĀfiĀcient, eqĀuiĀtable serĀvices. This is an inĀvestĀment in the peoĀple of our counĀtry,ā Ali told the cerĀeĀmoĀny that was atĀtendĀed by Prime MinĀisĀter Mark Phillips, Vice PresĀiĀdent, BharĀrat Jagdeo, othĀer CabĀiĀnet memĀbers, health ofĀfiĀcials, and resĀiĀdents of the area,
The govĀernĀment said that the hosĀpiĀtal with 75 inĀpaĀtient beds as well as three opĀerĀatĀing theĀatres, has been conĀstructĀed to meet ChiĀnese, British, and AmerĀiĀcan medĀical stanĀdards.
