The Ministry of the People, Social Development and Family Services has announced that the functionality of the equipment used to print Social Welfare Cheques has been restored, resulting in the immediate commencement of the printing process.
In a release Friday, the Ministry stated it has maintained close collaboration with its key stakeholder, the National Insurance Board of Trinidad and Tobago, and is working around the clock to ensure that delivery to clients commences at the earliest possible time.
The Ministry explained that clients who are already on Direct Deposit were not affected and encourage those who have not yet enrolled to sign up by visiting any Social Welfare Office or by downloading the forms from www.social.gov.tt.
