THE body of an elderly Siparia man, who was suspected to have been robbed and his house ransacked, was discovered in the pit of an outhouse next to his home on Friday.

The grim discovery of the body of Dennis Archargee, 62, was made after police officers were alerted by a relative of Archargee that his premises appeared to be in disarray.

According to a police report, around 10 a.m., the relative visited the home of Archargee, who lived alone on a property on Quarry Road. Neighbours told the relative he was last seen on Tuesday.
