KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Ministry of Education says it is closely monitoring the condition of students involved in Wednesday morning’s crash in Clarendon, which affected 39 students from Garvey Maceo High School.
In response to the incident, the ministry sent an educational social worker from Region 7 to the hospital to offer moral support and guidance to both students and their families. Officials said the regional team will continue working with the school to assist those impacted as they recover from the traumatic event.
“The regional team will continue to work with the school to support the affected and impacted as they heal from this difficult situation,” said the ministry in a statement.
