The St Mary police are appealing to motorists to exercise greater caution on the nation’s roadways following a motor vehicle crash in Annotto Bay on Thursday night that left seven people, including several children, injured.
The police say preliminary investigations indicate that about 8:10 p.m., a motor car travelling from the direction of Dover towards Annotto Bay reportedly lost control along the Marking Stone main road, ran off the roadway, and crashed into a nearby shop.
Police sources said the establishment was closed at the time of the incident and, as a result, no additional injuries were reported at the location.
