Police and relatives of a 38-year-old Moruga gardener are awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination after his decomposing body was discovered at his home on Monday.
Police said the body of Darrel Aping was found by his relatives who went to check on him after they were alerted about a stench emanating from the house on Blas Cha Cha on Penal Rock Road.
Officers of the Moruga Police Station were notified around 7.30 p.m. and responded to the scene, where they found the body of Aping lying bareback in the house in an advanced state of decomposition.
