“WHEN super powers fight, it is the ground that suffers,” local civil movement We the People has said.
The action group yesterday called for answers from the Government as to whether the United States is seeking to invade Venezuela in pursuit of that country’s energy resources, including oil—warning that escalated geopolitical conflict in the region would most harshly impact the vulnerable and ordinary citizens.
We The People yesterday staged a demonstration at the Queen’s Park Savannah, opposite the US Embassy on Marli Street, Port of Spain. The civil group comprises All Mansions of Rastafari, Concerned Muslims of Trinidad and Tobago, The Emancipation Support Committee, Fishermen and Friends of the Sea, Ifa/Orisa Council of Trinidad and Tobago, Movement for Social Justice, Network of NGOs for the Advancement of Women, Trinidad and Tobago Scrap Iron Dealers, Trinbago for Palestine and the Warao Nation of Trinidad and Tobago.
