The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has been highly commended by their Indian counterparts for their handling of the security logistics during the brief visit by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to this country from July 3 and 4.
In a release issued yesterday, the TTPS said the commendation came from the Director of India’s elite Special Protection Group (SPG), Alok Sharma, as well as, Inspector General, Rajiv Ranjan Bhagat.
Conveying these sentiments to Commissioner of Police (CoP) Allister Guevarro and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Special Branch), Terrence Pierre, the Indian delegation expressed their sincere appreciation to the TTPS for its outstanding operational planning and professionalism, which ensured the high-level engagement was executed without incident.
