A 25-year-old man is being treated at the hospital after he was shot while riding his bicycle near a vegetable stall in Rio Claro on Thursday night.
Police said around 9 pm, Fareed Mohammed was riding through Union Village when he heard a loud explosion and immediately felt a burning sensation in his back.
Despite his injury, Mohammed managed to ride home, where he discovered he had been shot. He was quickly taken to the Mayaro Health Facility for emergency medical attention by relatives.
