Security guard's gun goes off during struggle, injures 69-year-old

A 69-year-old tyre shop attendant was shot and injured when a security guard's firearm was discharged during a struggle with another man along Molynes Road yesterday.

Reports are that about 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2026, the security guard was attacked and stabbed by a man during a tussle.

During the struggle, the guard's firearm was discharged, striking the 69-year-old man who was nearby.
