A new paid mobile app designed to streamline school–home communication and reduce teachers’ administrative workloads has been launched, with education officials backing its potential to support the wider digital transformation agenda.

EduConnect, created by co-founders Teddy Leon and Tonia Prescod, officially introduced at Luther Thorne Primary School, is already in use in five schools, with organisers expecting that figure to rise to about 30 in the new school year.

Acting Deputy Chief Education Officer Dr Denise Charles said the app aligns with the government’s ongoing education transformation agenda and the need to strengthen the use of technology throughout the school system.
