Nearly 30 per cent of Region One’s adult population is employed through Government-funded programmes and Ministries, with approximately 1800 staff and almost 1300 Pathway workers currently engaged across the region.
This was revealed by Regional Executive Officer (REO) of Region One (Barima-Waini), Dr Steven Cheefoon, during a recent social media engagement.
According to Cheefoon, various Ministries continue to employ residents on an ongoing basis, as the Government continues its efforts to promote employment opportunities within the region.
