The Port Au­thor­i­ty has sched­uled sev­en ad­di­tion­al round-trip trips on the sea bridge for the Oc­to­ber Car­ni­val pe­ri­od, pro­vid­ing more than 11,000 ex­tra pas­sen­ger seats.

A re­view of the of­fi­cial sched­ule, post­ed on­line to­day, shows that be­tween Oc­to­ber 23 and 29, three in­ter-is­land ves­sels will op­er­ate out­side their reg­u­lar timetable to move pas­sen­gers for the event.

The Galleons Pas­sage will make the largest con­tri­bu­tion, with four ad­di­tion­al round trips on Oc­to­ber 23, 24, 27 and 28. With a ca­pac­i­ty of about 700 pas­sen­gers, those ex­tra sail­ings amount to 5,600 ad­di­tion­al seats.
