KINGSTON, Jamaica — Newly crowned national 100m hurdles champion Demisha Roswell has been named to Jamaica’s team for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games, scheduled for Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from July 24 to August 8.
Roswell earned selection after capturing her first senior national title at the recent JAAA National Championships, where she clocked a personal best 12.40 seconds in the 100m hurdles. The performance is joint fifth-fastest by a Jamaican woman.
Her inclusion comes just days after she was left off Jamaica’s Commonwealth Games team because she had not been included on the mandatory long list submitted to organisers in March. The JAAA later acknowledged the oversight and issued a public apology.
