Cop knocked down by teen driver without permit

A police officer was injured on Thursday afternoon after being struck by a car whose driver had breached a no-entry sign along the Cunapo Southern Main Road, Sangre Grande.
The injured officer has been identified as PC Roopsingh, attached to the Sangre Grande Traffic Section.
Police said around 5.05 p.m. PC Ramkissoon, PC Nanan and PC Roopsingh were on foot patrol along the road when they observed a white Toyota Corolla wagon travelling north in breach of a no-entry sign.
