FOR Rehan Ali, earning ten Grade Ones at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) was not simply the result of long hours of studying, but of curiosity, discipline and learning how to avoid burnout.

The Naparima College graduate and aspiring doctor wrote ten examinations during his two years in Form Six and secured all-A profiles in nine subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Building and Mechanical Engineering Drawing (BMED), Caribbean Studies and Communication Studies.

Ali, 18, is now preparing to take the next step towards his dream of becoming a medical doctor, with plans to begin studies at The University of the West Indies, St Augustine, in September.
