A BUSINESSMAN died two days after he and his employee were shot on Valentine’s Day during a robbery.

Vijay Nanan died at hospital following the shooting at his vending stall pitched opposite the Gulf City Mall on Gulf View Link Road in La Romaine on Saturday night. Police are searching for two men who attacked Nanan, 56, and his employee, a Venezuelan national, when they were packing up items at the end of the workday.

President of the Greater San Fernando Chamber of Commerce Kiran Singh condemned the killing of a businessman “whose life was snatched by criminals”, and called for swift justice.
